Jim Morgan  -

On-Air Personality

Jim is a logical choice to present "America's Best Music." He's been in the radio business for 40 years (and a member of WMBS for more than 30 years), and he says he remembers as a kid growing up in McKeesport watching the "Big People" setting those 78RPM Records on the victrola  and listening to those great old Big Band classics from the World War II Era. He recalls his own little 45 RPM record player, allowing him to hear all those wonderful songs from the 50's.

The nice thing about this format, he says "It is the opportunity to present a great variety of songs and styles.... from A to Z, or from ABBA to Sy Zentner." It's the standards and so much more which adds to the appeal of the "America's Best Music" and Jim hopes you will make it a regular habit to join him and all of us here at WMBS 590 AM for some of the best music ever recorded.

Timothy Schwer-

On-Air Personality

Timothy's radio career started more than three decades ago in Southwestern PA. As with most Air Personalities, Tim started out doing news and weekend jock work as a way to "Pay his dues". His first full-time job in radio was as an announcer on a brand-new radio station which promised to play contemporary music on the F.M. band which, until the early 70's, was essentially reserved for symphonic music.

For more than 30 years, now, Timothy has been heard on a number of radio stations in the tri-state area. He was the morning voice on WMBS from the late 70's until 2003 when he moved to his new Mid-Day spot, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge of and love for the music of your life.

Timothy occasionally does freelance announcing and has been heard on business answering machines, industrial training films and some TV.

Nick Kraft-

On-Air Personality

Nick is one of our three full time on-air personalities here at WMBS. You can hear Nick giving the news Monday thru Friday evening. In addition to the news, Nick is our full-time sports producer. Along with Jerome Shell and Mike Krcil, Nick produces most of the games you hear on WMBS.

Nick feels very grateful to be employed by WMBS, because he gets to work and learn alongside some of the pro's in the radio business such as Jim Morgan and Tim Schwer.

Previously Nick was an On-Air DJ for WCYJ FM in Waynesburg. "The Buzz" was Nicks home away from home from August 2001 till he started part time with us in February 2004. On "The Buzz" Nick Gave the morning and afternoon newscasts, and hosted music on several evening and afternoon slots.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys Movies ranging from the early silent classics of the 1920's all the way to  the modern films of today. He also enjoys a very wide variety of music from all genres.
